ChefMate – Privacy Policy

ChefMate ("we", "our", or "us") is a recipe finder app developed by ASA Studio. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

ChefMate does not collect any personal information directly. The app uses the following third-party services that may collect data:

• TheMealDB API – used to fetch recipe data. No personal data is sent to this service.
• Google AdMob – used to display ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized ads. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Cached Network Image – used to load and cache recipe images locally on your device.

2. Data Stored Locally

ChefMate stores the following data locally on your device using SharedPreferences:

• Your favorite recipes (saved locally, never sent to any server)
• Daily recipe view count (to manage free tier limits)
• Premium status

This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

3. Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob uses your Advertising ID to provide relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings under Google Settings > Ads.

4. Children's Privacy

ChefMate is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

5. Internet Access

The app requires internet access to load recipes from TheMealDB and to display ads. No personal data is transmitted.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
